Cheap, poor tolerances, but workable.Jul 13, 2013
By Cody Frolander
First off, mount the bare ring to your camera first! DO NOT MOUNT TO LENS THEN ATTACH TO CAMERA. The tolerances are too tight for it to easily mount to the camera, if you put it on the lens first and then mount it to the camera you are likely to jam the ring onto the lens like I did. I ended getting it off without damage, but you might not be so lucky. That said, it works really well when you can get it all mounted up! Use a wide lens for the best zoom, see my customer photo of the penny using a 17-40L lens. If they could get the camera-flange side manufactured so it fits on as easy as a lens should this would be an easy 5, but until then a 3 is being generous as I could see this ruining some lenses if you're not careful with it. Especially lenses where the front element moves like the 24-105L.
Well Built and Fits GoodJan 28, 2014

Works for the intended purpose of reversing a lens for macro. Filter threads are nice as well as the camera mount.
This does NOT fit the Canon EOS 5D, 5D2, or EOS D60.Jan 25, 2014
By David Brant
I don't have any other cameras to try at the moment, but this plain and simple does not fit. Oh yeah, the mount looks like it would fit .. but the fact that this is 77mm wide makes it too wide to fit in the lens mount "well" area. All the manufacturer would need to do is add one or two millimeters to the flange side where the bayonet mount is, to allow the width of this adapter to clear the camera body up near the prism.
It's well-manufactured, but it simply does not fit at this filter size. I think you'd want something no wider than 62mm.

Its a interesting thing that you can reverse your lens for macro shoots. the adaptor works great, it is a little too close to the camera when it's on and it's hard to press the button that release the lens from the body, but that's not too hard or impossible. But it works great, you will be amazed of the results.
Everyone needs to try this.Jun 22, 2013

This Ida simple way to macro. It works perfectly. You have to get used to using it. It is not as convenient as a macro lens, but is more of a novelty item. Very cool though. I say for the price. Give it a try.
